Our style of martial arts is a blend of Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Eskrima (Filipino self-defense with a stick), and Ground Fighting (Self defense when someone takes you to the ground).
As a Family M.M.A. school—Multi Martial Arts with a family focus—we emphasize self-defense, confidence, and discipline. This multi-style approach builds well-rounded martial artists who are prepared to defend themselves whether standing, against a weapon, or on the ground if necessary.
Our goal is to teach students how to stay safe and strong, not how to hurt others.
Our classes are fast paced, fun, and empowering designed to keep students engaged while learning valuable skills. We create a safe, educational environment where students grow in confidence, focus, and strength every step of the way.
Our martial arts school has been serving South Hillsboro since 1992, our martial arts school has been a trusted part of the community longer than any other martial arts school—and that says a lot. We don’t just teach martial arts—we build better humans. Our instructors are family-focused, ego-free, and committed to helping each student rise to their full potential in all areas of life.
Together we ELEVATE!
Not at all! Our classes are designed to help you improve your fitness, flexibility, and strength -- starting from wherever you are.
We have many students who weren't in shape when they started, but through our martial arts program, they've been inspired to eat healthier, stay active, and build stronger habits - both on and off the mat!
Absolutely. Safety is a top priority at our martial arts school. Our instructors are trained to teach in age appropriate ways, with controlled drills, proper safety gear, and a focus on respect and self control.
Our state-of-the-art facility features top-of-the-line mats and equipment and since opening in 1991 we've maintained an excellent safety record with no major safety incidents. Parents can feel confident knowing their child is in good hands!
The minimum to stay on track and progress with your classmates is two classes per week—but most students choose to train 3 to 4 times per week to improve faster and build stronger skills. We offer programs for Lil' Action Heroes (ages 3½–7), Juniors (8–12), and Adults (13+), with classes tailored to each age group’s needs and goals.
Martial arts builds character. Your child will develop respect, perseverance, emotional control, leadership, and social confidence—skills that benefit them for life. As they grow on the mat, they'll also grow in life—building real friendships, learning to lead by example, and becoming more focused, confident, and resilient in everything they do.
You’re not too old. You’re just on time.
We’ve helped students in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond achieve black belts and transform their lives. Even if you’re dealing with an injury or past limitation, our experienced instructors know how to guide you safely through the journey. At our school, we believe nothing can stop us—with the right mindset, anything is possible.
Yes, we carry all required gear and uniforms in-house, so you don’t have to shop around. Everything we provide is school-approved and meets our safety standards, so you can feel confident in what your child is using. Plus, purchasing gear through us is a great way to support our school and local small business.
Most kids absolutely love it once they start—many can’t wait to come back to class. They build confidence, make new friends, and begin to feel proud of their progress. But every now and then, a child might say they want to quit for various reasons.
Sometimes it’s because they’re nervous about doing something hard—even if they don’t know how to express it. Other times, it’s simply because they don’t want to be pulled away from video games or relaxing at home. It’s not their fault—that’s a natural feeling for many kids today. But that’s exactly why martial arts is so powerful.
At Elevate, we help children develop the mindset and life skills they need to succeed: working hard to reach a goal, pushing through tough times, and believing in themselves. Our instructors are patient and supportive, guiding them every step of the way.
As a parent, don’t let them give up. Let’s teach them to commit, hang in there, and achieve something meaningful. And remember—it always helps when parents communicate with our instructors regularly. It takes a village to raise strong, confident kids.
Together we Elevate.
